Sometimes I like to imagine that the wind has a mind of it's own… It might disturb the carefully piled leaves or blow a scarf of a person walking down a street into the wind giving life to it... I drew this to illustrate that. I quite like this illustration, maybe there's more to it?
Looking at the wind blowing the smoke I began to start taking photos of the smoke then I drew and printed arrows showing the directions of the wind blowing the smoke. I particularly like the first one as it is almost smokey itself and I like the last two as you have to look to find the arrows in the print. As we were having the group picnic I started to draw the landscape around as I just wanted to wander through it but I didn't have enough time, I really enjoyed wandering through the small part that I got too, it made me think of my favourite quote from a poem written by J. R. R. Tolkien which I thought was quite fitting to my drawing. The quote is something that I believe quite a lot as I often wonder but am hardly lost although that is something which is quite different to it's actual meaning.
I enjoyed the day but we had to do a film project that I thought would have suited to be on another day as I was very excited to go to the park as I've never been before and I didn't get to look around as much of it as I would have liked too because of the film project. |
